We don’t often think about it, but our bodies are constantly busy deciding where to send energy to in order for us to function and feel good. Energy is needed by the brain to think clearly and energy is necessary for our muscles to practice yoga. What about energy directed for the purpose of digestion, hormone secretion or detoxification?
This 3-part workshop explores how nutrition and yoga can positively influence the process of energy distribution in our body and mind.
Part I will explore nutrition and yoga for the digestive system.
Part II will explore nutrition and yoga for hormonal balance.
Part III will explore nutrition and yoga for optimal detoxification.
The first hour of each workshop explains which foods can give energy and which ones are taking it away. The second hour of each workshop is a yoga class focusing on a specific organ to support optimal energy levels.
Upon finishing the 3-part workshop you will have a burst of energy and are hungry for more!
- Dutch or English depending on the preference of the participants.
- No prior experience with nutrition and yoga is required.
- Workshops can be held online.

*You may book one part of the series independently. However it is recommended to book all three together in order to gain a more holistic view on how digestion, hormones and detoxification work hand in hand.
Immune Health
The how and why of immune support through movement & nutrition.

Proper movement and proper nutrition are two of many components commonly known to enhance immune function.
This session is for you if you want to know the how and why. How can physical movement and specific foods positively influence our immune health and why do we need it day in day out?
Holistic Nutritionist Lorette will explain how food choices can suppress or boost our immunity while Physiotherapist Julia discusses why proper movement is relevant for immune health.
Together, Julia and Lorette will bring theory into practice through movement on the mat and stimulate our taste buds through immune supportive foods.

Fatigue, feeling bloated, skin problems, cravings, headaches, concentration issues or trouble with stabilizing your weight? Many symptoms are a result of inflammatory processes happening in the body.
As a functional nutrition coach I explain what to pay attention to in the diet when it comes to minimizing inflammatory processes. Discover which foods can be used to reduce or prevent physical or mental unease so that you are experiencing optimal health.
With an overwhelming amount of nutritional information out there, our personal food choices can be made more difficult.
This workshop answers questions such as:
- Why do we need carbohydrates, proteins and fats?
- Buying organic food or not?
- How much protein do I need and why?
- What are anti-inflammatory fats?
- How to balance your blood sugar and prevent insulin resistance?
- Fasting – why and how long for?
Having trouble understanding how nutrition can optimize your health and well-being, then this workshop is for you. You will leave this workshop motivated to include new and nutritious foods into your own diet or that of your family.

Join us this Summer for an outdoor yoga retreat with a strong focus on the immune system and how nutrition, rest and yoga can positively influence it. When it comes to our immune system, we tend to undervalue the power and importance of prevention. Why not start to take care of ourselves today and benefit from it tomorrow?
Julia and Lorette invite you to learn about your immune system from a movement therapy and dietary perspective. This one-day retreat focuses on informative lectures, relaxation and movement through yoga, walking and swimming.
We start the day off with an energizing and upbeat yoga practice followed by an immune boosting smoothie and an nutritious bite. Julia, Physical Therapist and Osteopath in Training will then share the physiological benefit of movement and rest. After a healthy lunch there will be plenty of time for a walk, a swim or just relax at the private dock.
Lorette (Orthomoleculair Specialist Immunity) will then share her knowledge on aspects that suppress immunity and expand on nutritional immune boosters. The day will end with a relaxing Yin Yoga practice led by Julia.
This workshop will take place outdoors approx. 30 minute drive outside of Groningen. Bring your own yoga mat, props, bathing suit and towels.

When it comes to our immune system, we tend to undervalue the power and importance of prevention. Why not start to take care of ourselves today and benefit from it tomorrow?
This half-day retreat focuses on interactive lectures and a practical series for implementing preventive care for yourself. Julia and Lorette invite you to learn about your immune system from a movement therapy and dietary perspective.
You will be welcomed with an immune boosting juice and tasty energy ball, followed by an interactive Yoga Class taught by Julia where you learn about hidden patterns that can keep the body locked in a state of stress influencing the immune defensive mechanism.
Lorette will dive into an overview of the immune system and shares how we can improve immune function through dietary means. A healthy lunch will be served with a strong focus on nutrition which enhances immunity, hereby eliminating foods which suppresses immunity. After lunch, you will discover the top 3 supplements and herbs to boost your immunity.
During the last part of the day, Julia will share the physiological benefit of rest and will guide you into a relaxing Yin Yoga practice. A peaceful practice which negates the negative impacts of stress and thereby supporting our immune function.
You will leave this day feeling empowered and rejuvenated; immune to the busy holiday season to come!
